Sugar Honey Ice Tea

or
So Happy Its Thursday

;P

Today at Carrefour I found black eye peas. I wasnt really looking for them and am still on my quest to find brown rice.An entire aisle of rice and you have none that is brown?really?

The biscuits were a FAIL. Probably for two obvious reasons.I used soy milk instead of "real" milk AND the oven has no numbers on it.To say that I guessed about the temp is an understatement. Oh well.It wasnt that many ingredients.Next time Ill try the convection oven I just purchased and will use cow's milk.

This week was a short week. Went the police station Mon for field trip and to the dr.s Tues for my own trip, lol. And with the mini horror stories I wondered what I would encountered. A normal wait, esp for one who has no appointment. I was out of there in about an hour and 20 mins. Bring a  book. Its no love loss and a necessity if you want to get paid for missing a day of work.
The only thing is that I thought I was good upon getting a stamp in the hospital but the secretary says not so. Im going to ADEC to get the procedure from someone because noone seems to know and I dont like the runaround.
Price? Well, round trip to and from was about 40 dhm and 30 for the visit. I hear the stamp is 50.All together, thats about the price for copays back home SANS medicine and I left with a bag of it.Did I need it all for this visit? No but I or someone I know will need it at some point and it was free.

Thats all for this week.I STILL have pics to post but dont want to overload so Im stagnating them a bit. Also, its DUBAI SHOPPING FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!!! With that said,I am going there with a couple friends. Not that Ill buy a lot of stuff but there are huge sales and what better time to get things? Im sure my legs will want to give way once we are ready to leave the mall.AND we will have to spread out and meet up for lunch no doubt-before spreading out again, lol. Gotta go in this thing with a plan, lol.

Oh yeah, I think winter is over.As in came and went with less than a whisper. Its warming up again in the day, moreso than when we first got here I think and that was in October! This weather has gotten me spoiled I think and I worry about the heat coming.my armpits cant take it :-(.

Moroccanoil Soap

If youve read this blog for any length of time, Im sure youve gotten your laughs off my Moroccan bath experience. As crazy as that was for me, i believe I will be going to get one again, though at a much better establishment! Today, I ran across this product  And while waiting in line for a price, an Arabic lady gave it the once over, looked inside, and nodded her head in approval of what was inside. After seeing it was only 9.50 dhm, I got another. Once I try it, I will certainly give a review! In the meantime, here is information about the product-or products like this: Moroccan Black Soap and How To Use It The black soap is part of the traditional hammam ritual. It is the first treatment in oriental public bath. With a texture of butter, this natural vegetable paste based with black olives is rich in vitamin E. It is obtained from a mixture of oil and crushed olives, soaked in salt and potash. In the nineteenth century it was used as a product of Dermatology and later be

When in Rome

There are some things that, while you are doing them, make you think:"I would never do this in my country". Like the other day when I couldnt take it anymore and went to get water to drink bc its nasty in my apt (and, yes,Ive had the water in other places and it was fine). Anyway, it wasnt late but it was dark. The corner store is literally a minute outside my door. On the way back I walked to see if the internet cafe was open. An older man asked if I was looking for the pharmacy. I wasnt. He motioned and asked me to sit after he asked me where I was from and I told him. He was extremely nice and the first 5 mins consisted of a conversation in my head about how things like this work here. He talked about how proud they are to have us here and that Americans are treated with a different kind of respect. He talked about how nowhere else will you see so many Nationalities in a matter of minutes no matter where you are. He talked about work and leisure and told me about his resta
