Thelatha

who knew three colors would mean so much?

"WHOOOOO WANTS YELLOOOOOOWWWWW?!"

*everyone runs to the carpet*

and they ACTUALLY sat on the carpet at the end of the day and LISTENED to the story I read WITHOUT the Arabic teacher being present.

The 55 Dirham I spent was SO worth it.

and before that?

gasps and big eyes,

"shukran abala!"
"ABALAAAAA ABALAAAAA!! . . .ANA ANA ANAAA!"

for science today they used watercolors, which Im sure they arent allowed to use in art unless its exactly how the art teacher tells them to do it. We also made sensory bottles

(samples,not mine)

and they were very interested in what was in them, what it was called, how it looked, etc.Wanted to take them home. Sorry guys, these are for scool! Very easy to make, and inexpensive as well.

We made:
  1. water and glitter
  2. oil and colored water
  3. sand,gold glitter,shells,and water (beach)
  4. rice and nails (to go along with magnet

Now if I could just relax, enjoy the rest of my day,and let these other stressors fall by the wayside!

Moroccanoil Soap

If youve read this blog for any length of time, Im sure youve gotten your laughs off my Moroccan bath experience. As crazy as that was for me, i believe I will be going to get one again, though at a much better establishment! Today, I ran across this product  And while waiting in line for a price, an Arabic lady gave it the once over, looked inside, and nodded her head in approval of what was inside. After seeing it was only 9.50 dhm, I got another. Once I try it, I will certainly give a review! In the meantime, here is information about the product-or products like this: Moroccan Black Soap and How To Use It The black soap is part of the traditional hammam ritual. It is the first treatment in oriental public bath. With a texture of butter, this natural vegetable paste based with black olives is rich in vitamin E. It is obtained from a mixture of oil and crushed olives, soaked in salt and potash. In the nineteenth century it was used as a product of Dermatology and later be

When in Rome

There are some things that, while you are doing them, make you think:"I would never do this in my country". Like the other day when I couldnt take it anymore and went to get water to drink bc its nasty in my apt (and, yes,Ive had the water in other places and it was fine). Anyway, it wasnt late but it was dark. The corner store is literally a minute outside my door. On the way back I walked to see if the internet cafe was open. An older man asked if I was looking for the pharmacy. I wasnt. He motioned and asked me to sit after he asked me where I was from and I told him. He was extremely nice and the first 5 mins consisted of a conversation in my head about how things like this work here. He talked about how proud they are to have us here and that Americans are treated with a different kind of respect. He talked about how nowhere else will you see so many Nationalities in a matter of minutes no matter where you are. He talked about work and leisure and told me about his resta
