Today I didnt want to get out of bed. . .and on the way to catch my carpool, I almost told the cabbie to turn around because I wanted (longed) to get back into bed.

The "wonderful" Moroccan bath left my pores open and Ive been congested all weekend.Even so,I pressed forward and vowed to have a good day. Besides, we had measurement activities today and I was too interested in how that would go.

Walked into assembly. "wow,we have a class full today". Simultaneously I noticed the Arabic teacher wasnt there. Had a feeling she wouldnt be if she wasnt there by now as I was late to assembly. I told the VP I would be good but would take her up on her suggestion to come to her if I needed to.

Today was a pretty good day,for the most part things went well and even if there was a mess in the room the class was pretty cool. These are the things that happened, lol:
  • "frisked" the kids today after magnets "disappeared". me:"MAFI MAGNETS,MAFI SAHA!!" Only then did he tell me with with a smile that they were in his bookbag.
  • water was aaaaaaaaall over the floor as I introduced the water table today. They had fun though
  • They broke the globe. The one we JUST got for our science kit supplies.Cant find the piece to put it back together. I cant believe them!
  • Everyone was quiet today on the carpet for about 15 mins after I changed the tone of the room. "HABYBI (whole class, long I in middle),FIIIIIL HAAAALIIIIIIKAA AHLAN! 1,2,3. SHUUU HAATHAAA? (points to floor all over classroom). CLEAN UP THIS ROOM.MAFI CLEANUP,MAFI BAYT! and it was probably the fact that my voice is more raspy with this congestion so they knew I meant business, lol.Maybe they thought I would keep them forever.MUCH,MUCH more effective than asking if they wanted me to call their parents!
After silence fell over the room, I was able to choose people to clean up each center and get the room clean before going home.Responsibility is a must.

Possible field trip tomorrow. I hope to get more things accomplished than I did last week. They love learning and when we have a productive day I can go home knowing I did a good job and have a nice smile on my face.

So I just havent made it around to making a video of the place.Part of that is because my phone, which had the great camera on it,is no longer. And leave it to me to buy a cute phone with a horrible camera.yes, I have a camera with video but its just too much hassle. At least I think so. And because Im supposed to be honing my craft, I decided to post my place in pictures. Enjoy. My color palette all these switches for one little bathroom no tv. . .yet just the two of us! I love this contraption, lol and on the off times that this occurs. . . I just use my teacher dry erase marker, lmbo So,so glad to finally be clutter free! cleaning takes one day a week besides the every other day of sweeping bc its super dusty here.I have ONE pile of stuff left and thats only because I need a book shelf.Thats coming soon.

Moroccanoil Soap

If youve read this blog for any length of time, Im sure youve gotten your laughs off my Moroccan bath experience. As crazy as that was for me, i believe I will be going to get one again, though at a much better establishment! Today, I ran across this product  And while waiting in line for a price, an Arabic lady gave it the once over, looked inside, and nodded her head in approval of what was inside. After seeing it was only 9.50 dhm, I got another. Once I try it, I will certainly give a review! In the meantime, here is information about the product-or products like this: Moroccan Black Soap and How To Use It The black soap is part of the traditional hammam ritual. It is the first treatment in oriental public bath. With a texture of butter, this natural vegetable paste based with black olives is rich in vitamin E. It is obtained from a mixture of oil and crushed olives, soaked in salt and potash. In the nineteenth century it was used as a product of Dermatology and late...

Braces in the UAE

This has been a long time coming. Ive wanted braces since forever. At home it wasnt in the budget. Here, the first year went by and I decided that if I didnt get them this year, I would probably keep putting it off. So I start the process of looking. Requirements? clean, efficient,KNOWLEDGEABLE, affordable. That was pretty much what I wanted. After some searching, I realized that I couldn't pay 25000 dirham...didn't really want to pay 14000 but would if I had to...and then I came across an  ortho place  in Dubai. hmmmmmm. Dubai? Perks were: no down payment,500 dh each visit, retainer included. I was in. So I called and went hoping against all hope that it would be more than the regular consultation because Id driven from Abu Dhabi! Fortunately, they xrayed me and told me about the process a bit. I didn't know what to ask so I took my  papers after signing to the "deal" and went home with the biggest grin ever on my face. I WAS GETTING BRACES! And then I...
