Where Have You Gone?

The month is almost over and it seems Ive not written much. Not because I haven't had the chance. Just being lazy about it. Not much is going on. School ended on a high note with a few mishaps-flooding of the school, still working on the science room, fog (no students),practicing for National day, etc. So much and yet so little seemed to happen this term. I didn't even get to pass out my most improved certificates. I do hope that the new term provides more opportunity for teaching. I also hope the principal comes back...now that I think about it, I miss her walking around school looking at us,lol.

This is the last week of our three week break. Time to start going to bed at a more reasonable time. I also need to finally finish getting rid of clutter and cleaning up as the Mr. will be making his return soon! We have plans to do more than sit in front of a screen.

ooooomg, Im certain this year will be ending before I know it. Im done posting about where Im going or what Im going to do because I just don't know. Who knew some things would be so difficult. Maybe its just not my time. I can live with that. Doesn't make it any easier going down memory lane-looking at old pictures, videos, and student work. I REALLY miss teaching at home. Maybe I should learn Arabic. That may help, haha.

This will do

So I just havent made it around to making a video of the place.Part of that is because my phone, which had the great camera on it,is no longer. And leave it to me to buy a cute phone with a horrible camera.yes, I have a camera with video but its just too much hassle. At least I think so. And because Im supposed to be honing my craft, I decided to post my place in pictures. Enjoy. My color palette all these switches for one little bathroom no tv. . .yet just the two of us! I love this contraption, lol and on the off times that this occurs. . . I just use my teacher dry erase marker, lmbo So,so glad to finally be clutter free! cleaning takes one day a week besides the every other day of sweeping bc its super dusty here.I have ONE pile of stuff left and thats only because I need a book shelf.Thats coming soon.

Moroccanoil Soap

If youve read this blog for any length of time, Im sure youve gotten your laughs off my Moroccan bath experience. As crazy as that was for me, i believe I will be going to get one again, though at a much better establishment! Today, I ran across this product  And while waiting in line for a price, an Arabic lady gave it the once over, looked inside, and nodded her head in approval of what was inside. After seeing it was only 9.50 dhm, I got another. Once I try it, I will certainly give a review! In the meantime, here is information about the product-or products like this: Moroccan Black Soap and How To Use It The black soap is part of the traditional hammam ritual. It is the first treatment in oriental public bath. With a texture of butter, this natural vegetable paste based with black olives is rich in vitamin E. It is obtained from a mixture of oil and crushed olives, soaked in salt and potash. In the nineteenth century it was used as a product of Dermatology and late...

Braces in the UAE

This has been a long time coming. Ive wanted braces since forever. At home it wasnt in the budget. Here, the first year went by and I decided that if I didnt get them this year, I would probably keep putting it off. So I start the process of looking. Requirements? clean, efficient,KNOWLEDGEABLE, affordable. That was pretty much what I wanted. After some searching, I realized that I couldn't pay 25000 dirham...didn't really want to pay 14000 but would if I had to...and then I came across an  ortho place  in Dubai. hmmmmmm. Dubai? Perks were: no down payment,500 dh each visit, retainer included. I was in. So I called and went hoping against all hope that it would be more than the regular consultation because Id driven from Abu Dhabi! Fortunately, they xrayed me and told me about the process a bit. I didn't know what to ask so I took my  papers after signing to the "deal" and went home with the biggest grin ever on my face. I WAS GETTING BRACES! And then I...
