Abu Dhabi Product Review-VICCO turmeric-wso

A few months ago, I ventured into the natural deodorant arena and made my own using a simple recipe comprised on coconut oil, baking soda, and corn starch. The recipe worked but there is a bit of a science to it as not every combination works for each individual. I ended up getting burned on a couple occasions and it wasnt pretty. To make a long story short, this burning led to hyperpigmentation on my arm pits-which does not make for a nice sight! I started looking for a product-or range of products-I could use to help get me to the correct color. All the while wondering why I had to suffer through all of this for trying to make a healthy decision!!!!

Insert above product. I saw it in Lulu's and came home to google the product. I found lots of good reviews and decided to get some for myself. In addition to a more even complexion, some said they noticed less hair growth and that definitely was a plus. I started using it twice a day before deodorant (and after scrubbing my pits with an exfoliant and pumice stone). I must add that I have been using a special soap for my pits which I will review separately after further use. I have seen an improvement in the appearance of my pits. They are also very smooth. Hyperpigmentation is a difficult thing to get rid of and it takes time.I have two tubes of this and after they are done, I will probably not purchase again as it will probably have done all it is going to do at that point.

I also have hyperpigmentation on my face and decided to try it as the reviews seemed promising to also reduce oily skin. I DO NOT recommend on your face as it caused me to break out. It subsided after I stopped using the cream.

Oh, if you are not familiar with the medicinal properties of turmeric, do some googling. The reason this piqued my interest is because I was going to try and use turmeric but it is so messy and stains everything so I decided against it.This seemed to be a worthy alternative. If you are a person who likes to use natural products,I highly recommend having turmeric! Good luck!

Testyyyyyy

I sit here watching HGTV and typing away on my computer. Ive been doing this for days now. Apartment is pretty much empty and the hubby is there getting rid of the last few things before working one last weekend and coming home. People ask if Im excited yet and I dont think that it has hit me quite yet. I mean, I am excited but not like I will be when I get the ticket, or even when I get ready to board the plane, or especially when I finally get on Etihad!!! My legs are propped over my knee roller, which I got (again) today for the last stretch of this whole cast situation. Its cool and Im thankful to be healing properly and relaxing at home not doing too much of anything. I have awhile before I am forced to condence one last time before the final move. I am not looking forward to that task. I write before my departure with the next group in mind. I spent months reading about the experience of others and researching any and everything I could about Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Out of eve...

Turning Tides

6 months ago I wasn't to happy with my situation. I was feeling stifled in terms of teaching time and a  host of other things and my main focus in life was to get OUT.  I must say that the year has progressed rather nicely and Im not feeling the same way about the year. Thanks to my coteacher, who understands what the kids need and provides those things even when someone says otherwise,we  are having a great year! I can't say that I would feel this way with another teacher. Our classroom runs smoothly and the kids are self sufficient. Today, two kids decided to make a book in the science center. The books were pre made with the title and had two pages for them to draw animals or write. They were provided with real pictures of animals to choose from and had been given instructions previously about their options (to draw animals they saw at the zoo, animals from the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar, or to use the pictures if necessary). We also started this week putting ...

Pack Light?

I cant, in good conscience, tell you not to pack manips and such on your journey here. As with everything in life, there are pros and cons. There are also solutions to problems. problem : it costs a lot to pay for another luggage it costs more to send for it or to have to buy it over here con: They could already have these items in your school, then you brought these things for nothing real con: they dont have it and you didnt bring it :-( solution: (a)you have materials for your class that are enough for you to create workable centers and dont have to divide items up between classes or sign it out. (b)you no longer need these materials and can sell them for a profit   problem: I dont know what Ill be able to wear at school solution: now this is something you actually CAN wait for! long skirts abound here (if youre not too "big"). Be careful of the sizes and try everything on.Itll save you a headache later. Bring a couple things just in case. Remember that you may dec...
